Jamshedpur (Jharkhand): One person was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly indulging in betting on the ongoing Indian Premier League VI match at Sitaramdera here.
"Acting on a tip-off, the police raided Sitaramdera locality and arrested Asuthosh Bhumij for indulging in the betting on IPL matches," Superintendent of Police (City), S Karthik said.
He said the police have seized Rs 1.57 lakh and mobile phones from his possession.
However, it could not be ascertained on which IPL matches he was betting, Karthik said.
