Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has asked National Conference workers to reach out to people so that a link can be established between the public and the government.

"The party workers need to activate themselves to ensure that the message and the achievements of the coalition government reach the people... And the government in turn, gets regular and credible feedback from ground," Omar said yesterday while addressing a meeting of district party presidents of Kashmir region.

The National Conference-Congress coalition government is committed to the holistic and equitable development of the state, he said. The meeting comes days after an NC worker died allegedly in police custody, creating a political storm in the state.
