In a shocking incident, a popular Instagram influencer and former beauty queen was shot dead by her attackers after her live session gave away her location. Just before her death, she had shared a live session of herself having lunch at a restaurant, where she was shot dead.
The Ecuadorian influencer, also a former beauty queen has been identified as Landy Parraga Goyburo, with over 1.73L followers on the global photo-sharing app. The whole incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the restaurant.
The footage shows armed gunmen storming into the restaurant and firing at Landy while she was conversing with a companion. In a matter of seconds, everyone ran helter-skelter to save themselves as gunshots ring out, leaving Landy defenseless.
Her attempt to save herself turned futile as one of the gunmen mercilessly continued shooting at her. The attackers then made their escape, leaving behind a scene of horror and disbelief.
Images captured in the aftermath shows Landy lying in a pool of blood. Investigating police believe that the attackers learnt about her location through her live session on Instagram while the motive behind the heinous crime is yet to be ascertained.
Speculations are abounding that the killing may have been orchestrated by a widow of a drug lord, with whom Landy allegedly had an affair with.
On the other hand, there are also theories of Landy’s involvement with a notorious gang boss.
