Tension broke out in Nuagaon under Deogarh police station limits following the brutal murder of a youth late Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Ratan Pradhan. The accused, Panchanan Suhula, called Ratan to his house, where he allegedly attacked and killed him.

According to reports, Ratan and two of his friends were on their way from Balandagaon to Nuagaon. During this, the accused Panchanan Suhula invited them to his residence. While at his house, he suddenly attacked Ratan with a machete, leading to his death. The other two friends managed to escape from the scene.

Accused Surrenders With Weapon

After the incident, Panchanan Suhula surrendered himself at Deogarh police station, handing over the murder weapon. Police later reached the crime scene and began an investigation into the case.

Angry Locals Vandalise Accused’s House

The delay in the arrival of the forensic team triggered public anger in the area. Tension escalated as agitated locals vandalised the house of the accused. 

In response to the unrest, police were deployed in the locality to maintain law and order.
