The incident was reported on Thursday from Palsada village of Jharsuguda in Odisha. The woman hails from Purath village of Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh.
According to reports, the woman was found by local fishermen in Odisha. The fishermen saw her while fishing and rushed to rescue her. As per the police’s investigation, she is estranged from her husband and is living with her brother. It was also reported that she is mentally unstable. The woman’s brother along with people from their village had chained her to the boat with the fear that she might run away somewhere. However, she had somehow fallen into the river and was swept away, claimed her brother.
