A white tiger cub at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar has died.
According to the zoo authorities, the cub was born on June 7 along with a female sibling. Since birth, the male cub had been weak and under treatment.
Despite medical care, the cub succumbed yesterday.
The two tiger cubs were born to white tigress Mousumi after successful mating in late February between Mousumi and Rajesh, a normal-coloured tiger.

As per sources, the white tiger cub, that died, was of poor health since its birth. It was underweight and was weighing only 650 gram. The cub was so weaker that it was not able to take milk from its mother.
The health team at the Nandankanan Zoological Park was providing treatment to the cub at the hand rearing centre. Despite all kind of treatments, the white tiger cub eventually succumbed. The cub was suffering from naval infection as well.
