A day after Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of Opposition in West Bengal, alleged TMC’s conspiracy behind the Odisha train tragedy that claimed 275 lives, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said that “We want the truth to come out.’
Mamata who reached Cuttack and met the injured at the SCB medical college and hospital on Tuesday said, “Truth must not be suppressed as several lives have been lost. It is not a time to argue. We want to help people…”
The West Bengal Chief Minister further informed that both Odisha and West Bengal governments are working together and providing free treatment.
“103 bodies belonging to West Bengal have been identified and 97 people are under treatment and 31 are missing,” said Mamata Banerjee.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the investigation of the case earlier registered at Balasore Government Railway Police (GRP) in connection with the train accident involving Coromandel Express. Yashwantpur-Howrah Express and a goods train were also involved in the accident at Bahanaga Bazar in Odisha on June 2.
