The Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday detected 18 plots, two multi-storeyed buildings and a triple-storeyed building after searches on the properties linked to Biswanath Patro, assistant executive engineer of Jeypore block. Patro is also the in-charge municipal engineer of Jeypore Municipality.
Earlier in the day, the officials of the Odisha Vigilance Department conducted simultaneous raids at six locations linked to the block-level assistant executive engineer.
A dedicated team comprising an Additional Superintendent of Police (SP), two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), eight Inspectors, and six Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) from the Vigilance department are engaged in the searches at multiple locations in Jeypore, Ganjam and Berhampur.

According to Vigilance officials, two multi-storeyed buildings including one triple-storeyed building (7200 sqft) have been detected in Jeypore. Apart from this, 18 plots and 850 grams of gold have also been unearthed so far during the searches on the properties of the assistant executive engineer.
Details of the assets unearthed so far in the name of Patro and his family members;
One triple-storeyed building (7,200 Sqft) located at Jeypore town.
One double-storeyed building (3,400 Sqft) at Koli Sahi, Ganjam.
18 plots of which 6 in prime areas of Bhubaneswar, 1 in Jeypore town, 1 in Berhampur town and 10 plots at Jagannathprasad, Ganjam.
Gold jewellery weighing 850 grams.
Bank, Insurance, Postal deposits and other investments are being ascertained.
