Several leading figures in India’s industrial landscape have announced their intentions for future investments during the Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025 being held in Bhubaneswar.

The initiative by the Odisha government, aimed at fostering economic development, attracted prominent business leaders eager to explore opportunities in the State.

Representatives from diverse sectors spoke about their commitment to contribute to the State’s growth story. They highlighted potential avenues for investment which could significantly boost local economies and create employment opportunities.

Particular emphasis was placed on renewable energy, infrastructure, and information technology as promising areas for development.

The Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, an exemplar of public-private partnership (PPP), reflects the collaborative spirit needed to address regional challenges while leveraging Odisha’s unique strengths. With such initiatives, the State hopes to position itself as a hub for innovation and sustainable development.

“The way Odisha government has been implementing the far-reaching visions of PM Modi, the way necessary supports are being provided to industrial houses in a committed manner, queries are being addressed and MoUs are signed is indeed commendable,” Helios Energy chief Vinod Baid expressed to OTV.

“With such a proactive approach, I firmly believe that Odisha will become a very developed state in the country in the days to come,” Vinod Baid added.

“We are keen to set up a 5-gigawatt solar cell plant at an investment of around Rs 4,000 Crore in Dhenkanal and I am looking forward to it. Earlier, I had met the CM (Mohan Majhi), and after seeing his vision and proactiveness, we decided to come to Odisha,” Director of Inox-GFL Group Debesh Jain said to OTV.

“We have operations in the entire country with major investments in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. We got the high-level committee’s approval for our project in Odisha nearly two months ago and things are progressing fast,” Debesh Jain stated.
