In a shocking incident, the body of a young man was recovered from a toilet inside the B-3 coach of the Bhubaneswar–Delhi Duronto Express on Saturday. The train was stationed at the washing line of Bhubaneswar railway station when the discovery was made.
According to railway staff, suspicion arose after one of the toilets in the coach remained locked for an unusually long time. On opening the door, a body was found lying inside under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased has been identified as Shiv Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, Government Railway Police (GRP) sources confirmed.
However, several unanswered questions remain, including how the youth managed to enter the coach and what exactly led to his death. Authorities have not ruled out any possibility at this stage.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while the GRP has initiated a detailed investigation to ascertain whether it was a case of accident, suicide, or foul play.
The incident has raised concern among passengers and railway officials alike, with police assuring that all angles will be thoroughly probed before arriving at a conclusion.
