Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda is scheduled to visit Odisha on a two-day tour on February 28. He is to participate in a National Health Mission (NHM) event in Puri. Odisha Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) department informed this via its ‘X’ handle on Tuesday.

According to sources, the Union Health Minister will take part in a significant gathering of health secretaries from various Indian states. Minister Nadda will engage in key discussions aimed at advancing India’s healthcare sector. The Minister is also slated to participate in the NHM programme, which will unfold over two days.
Key meeting with Health Secretaries of Indian states
During his official visit, Union Minister Nadda will inaugurate the 9th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Healthcare in India and unveil the report of the 16th Common Review Mission.
In the social media post, H&FW department wrote, “Hon'ble Minister, @MoHFW_INDIA, Shri @JPNadda will inaugurate the 9th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovation in Public Healthcare System in India with dissemination of the report of the 16th Common Review Mission on 28th Feb at Puri, #Odisha.”
The event will be inaugurated with the presence of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and H&FW Minister Mukesh Mahaling. This national-level summit will primarily focus on the progress of India’s healthcare framework, the enhancement of medical facilities, and the formation of future strategies and initiatives.

This two-day event, centered on innovations in the public healthcare system, will take place at the Swosti Premium Beach Resort in Puri.
