Udaypur sea beach in Balasore fast turning into sex racket hotspot!

Throwing the law and order situation to the wind, sex rackets are allegedly operating in broad daylight at the Udaypur sea beach under Bhogarai block in Balasore district.

According to sources, the middlemen have reportedly set up several hut-like structures on the beach and engaged women from West Bengal in the flesh trade.

The pimps are charging Rs 500 to Rs 5000 from the tourists, local residents alleged, adding that even the women and middlemen involved in the flesh trade are also troubling the locals by snatching money and jewellery from them.

“Some people of West Bengal are running sex racket in the area. They engaged around 200 women in the flesh trade. I have informed the same to concerned officials, but no action has been taken yet,” said Abani Patnaik, a local.

Meanwhile, Balasore Collector has assured that necessary action will be taken if the allegations are found to be true.

“We will take necessary action once we get evidence. Udaypur and Talasari areas are popular tourist destinations. This is not right to level such serious allegations,” Balasore Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said.
