The Department of Women and Child Development will form a SUBHADRA Society for better management of the Yojana.

To encourage digital transactions, the government will identify 100 such beneficiaries who have done maximum digital transactions in the gram panchayats and urban local body and give an additional Rs 500.

"Will change lives of one crore women"

“Due to so many rules and regulations, many women will be deprived of getting the benefits. They are saying they will give SUBHADRA money to one crore women. Where is the budget? And what business they will set up with Rs 5,000?” asked Pramila Mallik, Chief Whip of the Opposition Party.

Senior political analyst Rabi Das said, “No government has ever launched such a huge scheme for women. In my opinion, it is Odisha’s biggest scheme.”

BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP, Baijayant Panda in an X post said the yojana will change the lives of more than one crore women in the state.

“PM Modi's guarantees are guarantees of fulfilment of promises. The twin-engine government of the Bharatiya Janata Party is determined and committed to women's empowerment. We made a promise during the election and under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, the state cabinet approved the SUBHADRA Yojana for women of Odisha. Through this scheme, the lives of more than one crore women of the state will change,” read his post.
