Subhadra Yojana: Fourth phase of first instalment on Feb 8, over 18 lakh women to be benefitted

Subhadra Yojana: Fourth phase of first instalment on Feb 8, over 18 lakh women to be benefitted

The fourth phase of the first installment under the Subhadra Yojana will be distributed tomorrow i.e. on February 8, 2025, in Jajpur district, benefiting approximately 18 lakh eligible women. CM Mohan Majhi is all set to disburse the fourth instalment of the Subhadra funds to women in Jajpur tomorrow.

Over 18L women are expected to benefit from this phase of financial support, informed Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida. With this, the total number of beneficiaries under the Subhadra scheme will surpass 98L, she added.

“Other beneficiaries who have faced delays in receiving their funds due to issues with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will be accommodated on March 8. I request beneficiaries to complete necessary formalities, including National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) verification and e-KYC updates, by visiting their respective bank branches,” the Deputy CM added.

However, Deputy Chief Minister Parida has assured that the remaining beneficiaries would receive their pending first and second instalments, on March 8.

Worth mentioning, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, the Subhadra Yojana is being implemented across all 30 districts of Odisha. The scheme aims to empower women financially and promote economic independence.

The government expects the total number of beneficiaries to cross one crore once these pending applications are cleared. The Odisha government's commitment to this flagship program demonstrates its focus on women's welfare and economic empowerment in the state.
