With a view to ensure a hassle-free darshan of deities at Srimandir in Puri, a sub-committee has been formed. On the basis of the sub-committee’s recommendations, steps would be taken to streamline the process, said the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Friday.

In this regard, a Chhatisa Nijog meeting was convened on Friday. The meeting discussed the demand of opening all four gates of the temple. The members of different nijogs gave their suggestions. To analyse the suggestions, a sub-committee has been formed. The next steps would be taken on the basis of the sub-committee’s recommendations.

‘The members of different nijogs today gave their valuable suggestions. A sub-committee has been formed to analyze the suggestions. The next steps would be taken once the report from the sub-committee is received,” said Ranjan Kumar Das, Chief Administrator of SJTA.

“A sub-committee has been formed to find out ways to give devotees a smooth darshan experience in the temple,” said Puri Sub Collector, Bhabataran Sahu.

“People are demanding to open all four gates of the temple. Soon there will be good news for the Puri people and devotees coming from outside,” said Hajuri Krushnachandra Khuntia, a servitor.
