Stunt in car on Bhubaneswar Highway proves costly; Rs 10,000 fine imposed

Pulling off flying stunts on the highway turned out to be expensive. A hefty fine was issued after two individuals were seen performing dangerous moves by stepping out from a moving car door and creating panic among commuters in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

The car was reportedly travelling from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar when the stunt was performed on the Palasuni overbridge. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

Following the viral video, the Transport Department swung into action and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on the violators. 

As per sources, the challan has been sent to the car owner's home. If the owner doesn't pay the fine, the next course of action will be decided.

As per reports, the car belongs to an organisation, and while travelling on the road, as many as two individuals were showing different kinds of stunts in a dangerous manner. Even the driver of the vehicle was showing different kinds of stunts. Luckily, nobody on the road got injured due to the dangerous stunts.

The Transport Department is reportedly taking strong action against persons showing stunts on the road in the state. Even the registration number of the vehicle may be cancelled in case of regular violators.
