As per reports, the electricity transformer installed on the college premises was gutted two weeks back triggering a power outage. The college authorities and students informed the electricity department about the development immediately.

The department reportedly took 11 days to install a new transformer. However, it caught fire again the following day. But the department didn’t pay any heed to the repeated requests by the college authorities to restore the power supply on the college campus. After facing a lot of disruptions in their studies due to the lackadaisical attitude of the department, the students were forced to stage a protest. They gheraoed the electric office and shouted slogans against the department demanding immediate power restoration.
