The District Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida held a meeting with members of the newly constituted Srimandir managing committee to review the feasibility and challenges of implementing both queue-based Darshan and disciplined temple entry protocols.
Queue-based system has long been a matter of debate due to various logistical and ritual complexities. Collector Parida acknowledged the existing professional and practical issues but confirmed that work is in progress to resolve them and begin the process soon.
In the managing committee's first official meeting, key topics included the post-relocation management of the temple’s Hundi (donation box) and aligning Darshan arrangements with the temple's traditions and rituals.
Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan had earlier announced that all required preparations for the new system would be completed by September 15.
A major point of emphasis remains on ensuring that no disruption occurs to the Lords’ Niti-Kanti (daily rituals). Officials affirmed that a detailed discussion with all stakeholders would soon be held to finalise the modalities.
“After the formation of the new managing committee soon a final decision on the shifting of Hundi will be taken in the first meeting of the managing committee. Following the relocation of Hundi, within a week, this is apparent that we will start the queue Darshan system,” the Law Minister had said to mediapersons on August 22.
“By September 15, the new arrangement will be introduced. Keeping this in mind, we are proceeding in this regard,” the Law Minister had asserted.
