Shaifalika Panda bags Shakti Awards for championing women’s empowerment and rural development

Shaifalika Panda, Founder and CEO of Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation, the CSR wing of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA), has been honored with the prestigious Shakti Awards. 

The award was presented to Shaifalika at the 'We Women Want Conclave' organised by News X in New Delhi in recognition of her contributions to social development.

During the event, Shaifalika also participated in a panel discussion where she emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment. She highlighted that addressing gender inequality and improving access to education and healthcare for young women in rural areas would help them build confidence.

This year’s conclave saw the participation of prominent political figures, including Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. The event also featured appearances by well-known celebrities such as Shabana Azmi, Ekta Kapoor, and Dia Mirza.

The Shakti Awards were held as part of the 'We Women Want Conclave', a platform to celebrate achievements and address challenges faced by women.
