Puspalaka servitors have been cautioned that participating in rituals like 'aarti' and 'puja' ceremonies at the newly established Jagannath Temple in Digha could lead to disciplinary action, potentially resulting in suspension.

As per reports, the directive has been issued by the head of the Puri Srimandir 'Puspalak Nijoga'- Harekrishna Singhari.

As per sources, these warnings align with the recent ones given to the Suara and Mahasuara servitors for cooking engagements at Digha temple, raising concern over the adherence to traditional ritualistic protocols.

The newly constructed Jagannath temple in Digha is all set to be inaugurated during the upcoming Akshaya Tritiya festival.  The administration is working round the clock to finalise arrangements for the grand event, including accommodations for a host of distinguished guests.

The inauguration ceremony is expected to be attended by the chief ministers of several states, political leaders, top administrative officials, well-known industrialists, and various dignitaries. Celebrities from the silver screen are also expected to add glamour to the occasion.

The temple, dedicated to Lord Jagannath and his siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra, has been modelled after the renowned Jagannath Temple in Puri. It spans 22 acres near the Digha railway station and has been developed with an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore.
