Republic Day special: BSF’s valour adds strength to Odisha Police security in Naxal-hit districts

BSF’s strategic deployment in Odisha started in 2010 in the Naxal-affected areas of Koraput and Malkangiri districts. Later, its deployment was extended to Nabarangpur and Rayagada districts in 2013.

On this Republic Day, we try to look at the BSF’s role in leading and assisting Odisha Police in enhancing the security apparatus in Maoist-dominated areas in the state.
