A thrilling Monday morning turned into a nightmare for pedestrians and vehicle riders in Bhubaneswar after a few miscreants caused havoc on the road with their reckless driving. Posing a serious threat to other riders, the miscreants were seen driving their cars at high speed and blocking other vehicles on the road.
They caused severe road blockades and even rode the cars on pavements as they drove around the city recklessly. A video of the incident recorded on a mobile phone has now gone viral on social media, spreading anger among the netizens.
Expressing outrage, netizens have demanded strict action against the reckless drivers who not only put the lives of other riders at risk but also caused an accident-like situation in the state capital.

Swinging into action, the Commissionerate Police registered a suo moto case and launched a manhunt to arrest the miscreants and seize their vehicles. The reckless driving comes at a time when PM Modi is scheduled to visit Bhubaneswar to launch the ambitious Subhadra Yojana.
As per reports, the video is from Janpath Road, Bhubaneswar where PM Narendra Modi’s high-security carricade is expected to pass tomorrow to launch the Subhadra Yojana, PMAY and Swachhata Hi Seva 2024.
Later in the day, Commissionerate Police arrested five persons in connection with the incident and seized three vehicles.
