Puri Srimandir to ensure smooth darshan for devotees
Ramps and barricades will soon be installed at Puri Srimandir to facilitate smooth darshan for the devotees, informed Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief administrator Arabinda Padhee following the Chhatisa Nijog meeting on Tuesday.
The Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited will undertake this project under the ABADHA scheme.
According to sources, the Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited (OBCC) will install the barricades and ramps at the 12th-century shrine under the Augmentation of Basic Amenities and Development of Heritage and Architecture (ABADHA) scheme.
The construction work will commence after the completion of the holy month of Kartik, sources informed.

Sharing details about the plan, SJTA chief Padhee said, "A collapsible wooden barricading system will come up for disciplined darshan at the Srimandir. There will be separate lines for men, women, children, elderly persons, and divyang devotees."
As per the discussion during the meeting, the devotees will enter through 'Sata Pahacha' and exit through the 'Ghanti Dwara', Padhee added.
"We have already received the prototypes. After the completion of the tender process, the work will begin. Input will be taken from the servitors so that the rituals of the holy Trinity are not affected due to the work," Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain said.
