Senior Congressman and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP), Rahul Gandhi, is scheduled to visit Bhubaneswar tomorrow (Friday, July 11), for programmes of the party.
The Commissionerate Police imposed traffic restrictions on Thursday to ensure smooth movement for the public and commuters in the State Capital during the LoP’s visit.

According to official sources, as part of the visit, a 'roadshow' has been scheduled by the Congress from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Square to Jaydev Vihar locality upon the arrival of Rahul Gandhi in Bhubaneswar.
The Rajya Sabha MP and LoP, as well as the AICC President, Mallikarjun Kharge, will also be visiting Bhubaneswar on Friday to attend various programmes.
Owing to this event, significant traffic congestion is expected in and around Bhubaneswar, particularly along the following routes on Friday (July 11):
• From 10.00 AM to 12 Noon: Heavy traffic congestion is expected on the stretch from Airport Chhak to Jaydev Vihar Chhak (viz Capital Hospital Chhak-AG Chhak-Raj Bhawan Chhak-Power House Chhak-120 Battalion Chhak-Shastri Nagar Chhak-Behera Sahi Chhak) and vice versa.
• From 1.30 PM to 2.00 PM: Traffic congestion is expected in and around Baramunda Chhak to Hotel Mayfair (viz Jaydev Vihar Chhak) and its adjoining areas.
• From 3.00 PM to 3.30 PM: Traffic congestion is expected on the stretch from Hotel Mayfair to Master Canteen Chhak (viz Jaydev Vihar Chhak-Behera Sahi Chhak-Shastri Nagar Chhak-120 Battalion Chhak-Power House Chhak-Raj Bhawan Chhak-AG Chhak-PMG Chhak) and its adjoining areas.
• From 4.00 PM to 5.00 PM: Traffic congestion is expected on the stretch from Master Canteen Chhak to Airport Chhak (viz PMG Chhak-AG Chhak-Capital Hospital Chhak) and its adjoining areas.
“Commuters are advised to plan their route accordingly and take alternate routes wherever possible to avoid inconvenience. For smooth traffic management during this period, cooperation from the general public is solicited,” Twin City Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh appealed in an official post on X handle.
