Prez Droupadi Murmu to arrive in Odisha on July 25; final carcade rehearsal held in Bhubaneswar
President Droupadi Murmu will be on a three-day visit to Odisha starting July 25. During her tour, Murmu is scheduled to attend several programmes including the 10th convocation of the National Law University in Cuttack.
Keeping the President’s visit in view, the Commissionerate Police has planned to put in place a tight security arrangement in the twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Today, the final rehearsal of the President’s carcade was conducted from the Biju Patnaik International Airport to the Raj Bhawan.
Itinerary of President Murmu
- President Murmu is scheduled to spend the night at Raj Bhawan on July 25.
- On July 26, she will attend several programmes in Cuttack including the 10th convocation of the National Law University.
- On July 27, she will lay the foundation stone of the Divine Light House of Prajapati Brahma Kumari. This apart, she will also take part in a meeting at Baliapada.
Briefing on the President’s visit, Vice-Chancellor of the National Law University, Professor Ved Kumari on Sunday said, “We are happy to announce that we are celebrating the 10th batch of passing out of our students. We are happy that the President of India has agreed to be a part of the convocation.”
Among others, Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal and Orissa High Court Chief Justice S Muralidhar will attend the function, added the Vice-Chancellor.
