President Droupadi Murmu to visit Odisha on Oct 23

President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit to her home state of Odisha starting on October 23. Her itinerary includes attending the 75th anniversary of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Puri as the chief guest. Previously, President Murmu visited Odisha in July for four days, participating in various cultural and educational events.

President Droupadi Murmu will visit her home state Odisha on a two-day visit starting October 23. 

According to letter issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu will arrive in Odisha on October 23 and visit Puri the next day.

During her visit to Puri, President Murmu will attend the 75th anniversary of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya as the chief guest.

President Murmu will attend the programme between 12.10 pm to 1 pm, the letter read.

Earlier in July this year, President Murmu had come to Odisha on a four-day visit. 

During her four-day visit to the State, President Murmu graced the 96th Death Anniversary of Utkalamani Pandit Gopabandhu Das at Bhubaneswar on 6 July. Later, she witnessed the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and siblings in Puri on July 7.

On July 8, the President visited Udayagiri Caves and interacted with the students of Bibhuti Kanungo College of Art and Crafts and Utkal University of Culture. On the same day, she inaugurated the Divine Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumaris at Haridamada village near Bhubaneswar and launched the ‘Lifestyle for Sustainability’ campaign.

The President graced the 13th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) at Bhubaneswar on July 9 before leaving for Delhi.
