President of India, Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day official visit to Odisha from today. She is scheduled to participate in several significant events, highlighting her commitment to education, healthcare, and cultural preservation.
Today, President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to attend the fifth convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar. On Tuesday, President Murmu will grace the annual convocation of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack. She will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Ravenshaw Girls’ High School.
In view of the President’s visit to various places in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police has issued traffic advisory.
“Keeping in view the safety and security of the dignitary and to ensure better regulation and free flow of traffic in both the Twin Cities, in the interest of general public, by virtue of power conferred on me u/s 28 of Odisha Urban Police Act, 2003 (Odisha Act 8 of 2007) and in pursuance of Regulation 36 of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate (Traffic and Public Order) Regulation, 2008, the following restrictions are imposed,” tweeted Commissionerate Police.
No vehicles are allowed to ply on the roads and its connecting lane / by-lane on the date and time as mentioned below:-

Besides, the Goods Carriers (6 or more wheelers —trucks and trailers) coming from Khurdha side intending to go towards Cuttack side through Bhubaneswar are not allowed to ply from Pitapalli Square and those vehicles will be diverted at Pitapalli square towards Cuttack via Chandaka on Monday.
Similarly, the Goods Carriers (6 or more wheelers — trucks and trailers) coming from Cuttack side will be diverted at Balikuda Sqr. towards Pitapalli Square via Chandaka Square. On 15th July (Tuesday) no Goods Carriers (6 or more wheelers — trucks and trailers) are allowed to ply in both the Twin cities as well as on NH-16 during day time i.e. from 6 AM to 7 PM.
These above mentioned restrictions will not be applicable for the emergency vehicles (Fire, Ambulance & Police). Commuters are advised to plan their route accordingly and take alternate routes wherever possible to avoid inconvenience.
