Pratap Sarangi to attend BJP’s meeting on organisational polls in New Delhi

Senior BJP leader and Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi will attend the party's crucial meeting on organisational polls to be held in the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Monday. Sarangi has been called by the party from Delhi.

Ahead of the party's organisational polls, while Sarangi has been entrusted with the responsibility of Returning Officer; Sukant Panigarahi, Jatin Mohanty and Sukeshi Oram have been appointed as Co-Returning Officers.

BJP has informed that the organisational polls of the party will be conducted following the completion of the membership drive in October. Elections will be held for the posts of booth presidents, district presidents, state presidents and national president of the party. 

“I have been entrusted the responsibility as the Returning Officer and three others- Sukant Panigarahi, Jatin Mohanty and Sukeshi Oram have been given the responsibility as Co-Returning Officers. We will understand our responsibilities and the process of the election after reaching Delhi,” said Sarangi.

“Elections in BJP are nothing new and elections are in our DNA. The autocratic parties don’t conduct elections. However, elections are conducted in the BJP at regular intervals. It’s a democratic party,” he added.
