Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 74 today, marking another year of distinguished public service. Born in Vadnagar, Gujarat, on September 17, 1950, Modi has equalled Jawaharlal Nehru's record by serving as Prime Minister for three consecutive terms. Wishes poured in from various quarters including President Droupadi Murmu and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Odisha CM Mohan Majhi also extended his greetings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’ turned 74 today, adding another year to his decades of public service.

Modi was born and raised in Vadnagar in northeastern Gujarat on September 17, 1950. Modi equalled the record of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru by becoming the Prime Minister of India for three consecutive terms.

Modi took oath as the 14th Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014. Modi became the Prime Minister of India for the third time by winning the Varanasi Parliamentary seat in Uttar Pradesh for Consecutive three times. He is the longest-serving Prime Minister of India as a non-Congress leader. He has also served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001-2014.

Wishes poured in from different quarters on the occasion of 74th birthday of PM Modi.

President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 74th birthday and wished that his innovative efforts pave the way to make India a developed nation.

"Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji on his birthday. On the strength of your personality and work, you have provided extraordinary leadership and increased the prosperity and prestige of the country," the president said in a post on X in Hindi.

"I wish that your innovative efforts with the spirit of nation first pave the way to make India a developed nation. I pray to God that you live long and always remain healthy and happy," she wrote.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his heartfelt wish to PM Modi, hailing him for ‘bringing positive changes in the lives of the countrymen through his tireless hard work, perseverance and foresight’.

“I pray to God for your healthy and long life,” wrote Shah on social media account X.

BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda greeted PM Modi on his birthday.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi also extended his wishes to PM Modi on his birthday.
