Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha on June 20, marking his sixth trip to the state within a year and his first after ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The visit will mark the completion of one year of the Mohan Majhi-led BJP government in Odisha and the PM-led government’s 11 years at the Centre. The occasion is being seen as a milestone celebration and a key moment for outlining the party’s vision for the state’s future.
As per official details, the Prime Minister is expected to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 3:40 pm. He will be given a ceremonial welcome upon arrival.
BJP Odisha president Manmohan Samal detailed the agenda of the PM’s visit. He stated that the key milestone achievements of the Majhi government, including the success of the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme, will be highlighted, and Ayushman Bharat health cards will be rolled out by the PM.
“PM Modi is coming to Odisha for the sixth time in a year and for the first time after Operation Sindoor. He will felicitate five of the Lakhpati Didis during his visit here, as well as hand out Ayushman Bharat Health Cards to five eligible beneficiaries as a symbolic gesture of the scheme being officially rolled out in the state,” stated Samal.
Vision Document 2036 to Be Unveiled
A key highlight of the visit will be the public unveiling of the ‘Vision Document 2036’, a comprehensive roadmap for Odisha’s long-term growth.
The document will detail the state’s developmental goals leading up to its centenary year and cover sectors such as healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, agriculture, and industrial growth.
The BJP leadership stated that the vision is aligned with PM Modi’s national developmental strategy and is also tailored to Odisha’s unique potential and challenges.

Empowering Women: Lakhpati Didi Felicitation
The Prime Minister will felicitate five ‘Lakhpati Didis' or women achievers who have crossed the Rs 1 lakh annual income mark through self-help initiatives.
Odisha has reportedly produced a large number of such women entrepreneurs under the central government’s livelihood and micro-enterprise schemes, as well as its flagship Subhadra Yojana.
Healthcare Boost: Ayushman Bharat Cards for Senior Citizens
The Prime Minister will also distribute Ayushman Bharat Health Cards to five senior citizens, marking the official launch of the scheme in Odisha. The symbolic gesture is meant to indicate the state’s formal inclusion under the flagship health insurance programme for the underprivileged, especially those above the age of 70.
Mega Roadshow from Airport to Janata Maidan
From 3:45 to 4:15 pm, PM Modi will participate in a roadshow along the stretch between the airport and Janata Maidan. Thousands of party workers and citizens are expected to line the route to greet him.
Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, high-level security arrangements have been made. On Tuesday, a joint inspection was carried out at the Bhubaneswar airport and Janata Maidan by the Special Protection Group (SPG), Commissionerate Police, and Fire Services.

After the public meeting at Janata Maidan, which is expected to conclude around 5:30 pm, the Prime Minister will head back to the airport and leave for New Delhi at 5:50 pm via a special flight.
