All the treatment-related registration will become completely paperless at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, said Union Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar on Sunday.
During her first visit to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Pawar reviewed treatment facilities at the premier healthcare centre. She also inaugurated a Multiutility Building at the institute on the occasion.
Pawer said emphasis will be given for the treatment of critical patients at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
“Various hospitals refer general patients to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The discussion will be held in this regard and those hospitals will be requested not to refer general patients to AIIMS Bhubaneswar,” she said.
"To provide the best and most affordable health services to the people of Odisha require immediate solutions by expediting health infrastructure in the State," Pawar tweeted after a discussion with the State health oficials.
“The Union government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously trying to improve the healthcare facilities at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The healthcare facilities at AIIMS Bhubaneswar is going on smoothly. However, the waiting period of patients is very high because we see 10,000 footfalls per day. Therefore, the process needs to be streamlined,” she said.
The Union Minister also raised the non-implementation of Ayushman Bharat and other central schemes by the Odisha government.
“Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana is one of many schemes of the Centre. However, it is unfortunate that the Odisha government has not approved this central scheme. Through the media, I would like request the Odisha government again to approve the scheme,” she added.
