In a sorrowful development, the office staff are mourning the loss of Prashant Satpathy, an Accounts Officer at the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) in Balasore, who died in Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday.

Apart from the local community, the horrific incident in which Satpathy became a victim has cast a shadow on his office as well. His untimely demise has evoked strong emotions among colleagues and residents alike. According to Satpathy's colleagues, he was not only a professional but also a beloved family member and friend. A pall of gloom has descended at the office following the tragic and horrific incident.

As per reports, the office environment at CIPET in Balasore is emotionally charged, with colleagues recalling Satpathy’s commitment and amiable nature. 

Colleagues Crestfallen

"I came to know about the incident last evening when Prashant’s wife informed about the incident to my wife over the telephone. Later, we were confirmed about Prashant's death at 8 pm. He was more than just a colleague. He was very amicable and a friend to many," said a co-worker.

"We are missing him a lot. He was very soft spoken and well-behaved. After hearing the sad news about his death, we are crestfallen and have lost our interest in work. We still can't believe that Prashant is no more among us. We lost a very close friend. It's a great loss for his family members," said another colleague.

"Prashant was very happy and excited to visit Kashmir to spend his holidays. However, it was his sheer bad luck that such a tragic incident happened there. Let God give strength and blessing to his bereaved family members to cope up with the tough situation. I am not able to express my grief in words. We are trying to extend all kinds of support to the bereaved family members," said a third colleague.
