Over 5 injured in group clash in Bhubaneswar, ample police forces deployed

Tension erupted at Pandakudia slum in Bhubaneswar following a severe clash between two groups in the area on Sunday.

More than five persons from both sides are reported to be injured in the process.

As per reports, both groups allegedly confronted each other after some persons of one group axed a banyan tree and demolished a circular base around it. 

Ample police forces have been deployed in the area to control the law and order situation. 

As per the latest reports, police officers are trying to control the situation by holding discussions with the people of both groups.

As per sources, a meeting will be held with people from both groups at Bharatpur police station today and a peace committee will be formed to pacify the situation.

Notably, group clashes are nothing new in the area and the slum often witnesses confrontations between different groups.
