Forum for discussion on education & youth

Governor Kambhampati highlighted the significance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, underscoring both its promise and the challenges that remain. According to the Governor, the NEP 2020 offers a transformative framework for our education system, and our focus should be on facilitating skill development avenues to create more employment opportunities.

"It is a privilege to be here at the OTV Education Conclave. It also gives me immense pleasure and a sense of elation to be among you. As an academician, education is a field which is very close to my heart. This event is considered to be one of the most respected platforms in Odisha for discussions on education and the future of our youth," said Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati.

Academicians, policymakers, and visionaries together

"It brings together academicians, policymakers, experts and visionaries all committed to improving learning outcomes and building a brighter tomorrow for our state. I take this opportunity to congratulate the Odisha Television group for their consistent efforts in organising the conclave. Under the able leadership of Jagi Mangat Pandaji, the group has gone beyond being a leading media house. OTV has become a trusted name in every household in Odisha, not only for their news coverage and entertainment but also for their meaningful contribution to society," he added.

"According to me, everything has transformed in this fast-changing world. Likewise, change should be brought in our education sector as well. There has been a huge change in the literacy rate in the last few years. However, we are lagging in comparison to many other states. We altogether have to work in this direction. Not only traditional teaching but also technical and vocational teaching are essential. All need to work together in this direction," said Jagi Mangat Panda, Co-Founder & MD of Odisha Television Network Ltd.

"The aim of the OTV Education Conclave is to determine how we can contribute to increasing the literacy rate in Odisha. Education is not a typical straight-line anymore. Many things have been added to it. We have added sessions on defence and skill development in this edition. We are trying to make people more educated that there is scope in many fields. We are also trying how people can develop their skills and employ them in various fields. Education is the first step towards building a future and a career, and our endeavour is that we want to contribute towards the growth of Odisha in the education space," said OTV Digital Business Head, Litisha Mangat Panda.
