The stay on the release of the Odisha Civil Services 2021 results has been lifted. Hearing the petition of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), the Orissa High Court on Thursday lifted its earlier interim stay on the release of the results and asked the OPSC to reserve a seat for the divyang candidate, who had filed a petition for not being allowed to participate in the recruitment test.

Hearing a petition filed by Satish Kumar Panigrahi, a divyang aspirant, the High Court had ordered the interim stay on the announcement of the Civil Services 2021 results on July 21.

Maintaining that the interim stay on the Odisha Civil Services 2021 results on the petition of a divyang candidate would affect hundreds of other candidates, the OPSC filed an interim petition.

Hearing the OPSC’s petition, the apex court of the state made changes in its earlier order and asked the OPSC to reserve a seat and not to make any appointment for this seat without its permission.

The High Court bench comprising Justice Aditya Kumar Mohaptra gave the verdict after hearing the petition filed by the OPSC. Senior advocate Pradipta Kumar Mohanty is appearing for the OPSC.
