The Opposition parties including the BJP and Congress on Monday tried to corner the Odisha Government in the Assembly by alleging that the question paper of Class 10 or the matriculation examination was leaked. BJP and Congress MLAs rushed to the well of the House and raised slogans. Due to the pandemonium, the Odisha Assembly Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House till 4 pm today.
Apart from this, the Opposition members also targeted the state government outside the Assembly. Showing the viral mathematics question paper set, Opposition Chief Whip Mohan Majhi alleged that the state government is playing with the future of the students.

“The examination was on and I got the question. There is truth in the allegations and hence the concerned school and mass education minister should resign. We believe that the minister is lying and he was aware of the question paper leak. It seems that it is a conspiracy to ruin the future of the students,” said Majhi.
According to Majhi, the Matric question papers of three subjects have been leaked.
Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati alleged, “The Matric question papers were leaked daily. It is a conspiracy by the state government for major private schools which have been set up by BJD.”
Bahinipati added that there is a need for a detailed investigation and accordingly action should be taken as it is linked with the future of the students. “It seems that a racket is behind the incident,” he added.
Responding to the allegations of the Opposition members, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said, “Today is the last day of the Matric examination. The Board of Secondary Education had already clarified that there were some printing errors in the question papers. The students need not worry as their concern will be addressed during evaluation.”
Dash further said that the matter of the question paper leak raised by the Opposition is baseless as already the matter was discussed with the BSE president and nothing like that has happened. “The department does not have any information regarding any question paper leak,” Dash added.
