Bus overturns in Bhadrak
A passer-by was killed and more than 10 passengers were injured as a bus overturned near Tilo along Bhadrak-Anandpur road on Sunday.
As per reports, the bus was on its way to Bant from Bhadrak when the driver lost his balance over the wheel near Talapada village under Tilo Gram Panchayat and overturned at around 7.30 am.
The vehicle unfortunately crossed a person from Tilo area who was passing nearby the area; he died on the spot.
Locals rushed to the spot and immediately carried out the rescue operation. The injured were admitted to the nearby hospitals. Some of them were shifted to Bhadrak Headquarters Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

Upon being informed, local police also reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
As per eyewitnesses, the bus was moving at a great speed and as a result, the driver lost control of the vehicle. Local residents rushed to the spot after hearing the massive sound of the accident and rescued the passengers.
Till the last report came in, the rescue operation was underway and it was suspected that a few more persons were still stuck under the overturned vehicle.
A month earlier, one person died and over 30 passengers sustained injuries after a passenger bus carrying them overturned mid-way at Surada Square near Nuagaon area in Nayagarh district.
