What is Emily Dickinson Award?
The Emily Dickinson Award, named after the legendary 19th-century American poet, honours literary excellence and celebrates writers who, like Dickinson, delve deeply into the human experience with sensitivity and innovation.
The award is given once a year to a member of the Poetry Society of America ‘to honor the memory and poetry of Emily Dickinson, for a poem inspired by Dickinson though not necessarily in her style’.
