Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday announced that the state government has received opinions and suggestions from over 3 lakh citizens for its ‘Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047’ initiative.

The CM expressed his gratitude to the people of the state for sharing their input in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “Grateful to everyone who contributed to shaping Odisha’s transformative future,” he wrote while emphasizing 'sustainable, inclusive growth' through AI-driven insights.

Majhi rolled out the ‘Visksit Odisha’ initiative at the Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on October 31 and asked the people of Odisha to share their thoughts, suggestions, and inputs for the brighter future of Odisha.

The participants were asked to share their inputs via email, WhatsApp, and the official website of vision.odisha.gov.in in three weeks to create a ‘vision outline plan’; responses to which have now crossed over three lakh.

The vision aimed at bringing citizens of the state together for sustainable and inclusive growth while ensuring the long-term development of Odisha.

Notably, the year 2036 will mark 100 years to the foundation of the state of Odisha, which was carved out of the British-ruled Bengal Presidency on April 1, 1936. Meanwhile, the year 2047 will mark 100 years since India gained independence from British rule.
