A day after conducting raids at multiple locations associated with Suryamani Pattajoshi, Executive Officer of Jatni Municipality, Khordha district on charges of disproportionate assets, Vigilace arrested the government official on Wednesday.
The action from the Vigilance came after Pattajoshi was found in possession of assets disproportionate to his source on income.
According to sources, he will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar today.
A case (Vigilance Cell PS Case No. 3/2025) has been registered against Pattajoshi following extensive searches at multiple locations linked to him.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered four high-value flats in Bhubaneswar, two multi-storeyed buildings in Berhampur, 11 plots of land, gold ornaments weighing approximately 475 grams, Rs 17 lakh in cash, and bank deposits exceeding Rs 90 lakh.

Pattajoshi failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these assets, leading to his arrest, sources informed.
Odisha Vigilance officials have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to uncover further details regarding his wealth accumulation.
