Odisha Vigilance arrests Boipariguda IIC; cash worth Rs 37 lakh detected

The IIC was detained near Jeypore on Monday night while he was returning home in Cuttack in a private bus. At that time, cash worth Rs 2.70 lakh was seized from his possession. During subsequent searches at three locations, the remaining amount was recovered.

The Vigilance arrested Sushant Kumar Satpathy, the IIC of Boipariguda Police Station in Koraput district after he failed to give a satisfactory account of cash to the tune of Rs 37 lakh which was detected during searches in his official residence, office chamber at Boipariguda and his quarters in Cuttack. 

As per reports, the IIC was detained near Jeypore on Monday night while he was returning home in Cuttack in a private bus. At that time, cash worth Rs 2.70 lakh was seized from his possession. Thereafter, Rs 3 lakh cash was seized from his official residence at Boipariguda while Rs 1.80 lakh was found from his official chamber. Besides, Rs 29.77 lakh was later recovered from his quarters in Cuttack.
