The Odisha government has decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana together in the state from April 1. This decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan on Wednesday.
Additionally, the Pradhanmantri Vaya Vandana Yojana will also be launched on the same day.
To mark the launch, programs will be held at all 1,438 Primary Health Centers across the state, sources informed, adding that a massive awareness campaign will be conducted for the promotion of these schemes.
Scheme to Cover 3.46 Crore Individuals:
Over 1.03 crore families in Odisha will benefit as the introduction of the scheme will cover more than 3.46 crore individuals under these health schemes. Each beneficiary will receive a single card for both AB-PMJAY and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana, while Pradhanmantri Vaya Vandana Yojana beneficiaries will get a separate card.

Under the scheme, male beneficiaries will receive up to Rs 5 lakh in medical coverage, while female beneficiaries will receive up to Rs 10 lakh. If a family has a senior citizen above 70 years of age, the total medical coverage for the family will go up to Rs 15 lakh.
Cashless Treatment At 29,000 Hospitals:
Beneficiaries can avail of cashless treatment at over 29,000 government and empanelled private hospitals across the country.
