In a shocking and disturbing incident from Ghasipura police limits in Keonjhar, police have arrested the accused for allegedly impregnating his minor cousin sister. The disturbing case came to light when the girl, a Class 8 student of a government-run residential school, was found to be pregnant.
Incident Reported by School Authorities
According to police sources, the matter surfaced after school authorities noticed physical changes in the minor girl and conducted a medical examination, which confirmed the pregnancy. The head-teacher of the school promptly reported the matter to the Ghasipura Police Station.
Investigation and Confession
During police interrogation, the girl revealed that a few weeks ago, when she had gone home during school holidays, her cousin brother, who is an older relative, had allegedly established physical relations with her. The police immediately registered a case under Case No. 340/25 and launched an investigation into the matter.
Arrest and Legal Action
The accused youth has since been arrested and taken into custody. Police officials confirmed that he will be produced before the court while further investigation continues to gather evidence.
