Odisha reschedules timings of Anganwadi centres for summer

In view of the scorching heat conditions, the Odisha government on Monday announced a change in the timings of functioning of the Anganwadi centres in the state.

As per the latest notification, the timings of the Anganwadi centres have been revised and from now on, all the Anganwadi centres in the state will function from 7 am to 11:30 am.

Earlier, the Odisha School and Mass Education department announced a change in the timing of classes in Schools across the State.

From April 2, all educational institutions including government, government-aided and privately-managed schools should have morning classes from 7 AM to 11.30 AM.

This has been in view of the IMD forecast and to mitigate heat wave conditions in the state.
