Odisha Police constable recruitment: Orissa High Court orders age relaxation 

Considering the fact that no examination could be held during the period from 2018 to 2022 due to the pandemic situation, the High Court granted the relaxation.

In an important order with respect to the recruitment of constables, the Orissa High Court on Tuesday ordered for one-time relaxation of the age limit. The State’s apex court while hearing a petition relaxed the age limit by four years.  

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had approved the recruitment of 4,790 constables for the State police force. In this regard, an advertisement was published on December 30, 2022. However, the aspirants had filed a petition before the HC seeking a direction for the relaxation of age.
