Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra took a swipe at BJD in the Odisha Assembly on Wednesday saying that a corrupt person had been appointed as the Food Commissioner during the tenure of the previous government.
According to Patra, the previous BJD government excluded some worthy persons and appointed a corrupt person as the Chairman of the Food Security Commission.
The minister further questioned when some IFS officials had applied for the post, why a person with BA qualification was appointed in the post with a monthly salary of Rs 3 lakh.
“A committee will be formed to look into the matter. If the appointment process is found incorrect, the concerned person will be relieved from the post of Food Security Commission Chairman,” said Patra.
However, no reaction was received from the BJD in this regard.
