The Electronics and Information Technology Department has issued a strict directive to all departments, acting upon guidelines received from the Central Government. The official circular mandates the use of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for internet, broadband, landline, and leased line services wherever technically feasible.

The Cooperative Department has also issued corresponding instructions to all District and Assistant Registrars of Cooperative Societies (DRCS and ARCS), directing them to ensure the use of BSNL services in all offices under their jurisdiction.

The directive clearly states that ongoing services must be reviewed and, without causing disruption, existing connections must be migrated to BSNL at the earliest. All departments have been asked to complete this transition and submit a compliance report by September 30, 2025.

This move is expected to boost the utilisation of BSNL services in the State and ensure uniformity and security in government communication networks.

“I direct to ensure utilisation of BSNL services for internet, broadband, landline, and leased line connections, wherever such services are available and technically feasible. Take immediate necessary action to review the existing service providers and, wherever practical, migrate to the BSNL services without causing disruption to ongoing operations. Submit a compliance report to this office by 30th September, 2025,” the undersigned stated.

“Do issue necessary instructions to the offices under your administrative control to ensure compliance with the above. All concerned are requested to treat this matter with priority and ensure strict compliance,” the circular issued in this regard mentioned.
