In a significant move to position Odisha as a national leader in textile and apparel manufacturing, the state government has launched a dedicated initiative aimed at accelerating growth in the textile sector. The landmark event, titled ‘Odisha Tex 2025’, was inaugurated today by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Hall in Bhubaneswar.

The high-level industrial summit witnessed the presence of Industries Minister Sampad Swain and Cooperation & Handloom Minister Pradeep Bal Samant, along with over 300 prominent industrialists and investors from across the country.
As part of the summit, the Chief Minister inaugurated six new Textile and Apparel Parks, signaling a major push toward building industrial infrastructure in the state. These parks are expected to serve as key hubs for textile manufacturing, design, innovation, and job creation.
In addition to the park inaugurations, the event also marked the signing of multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with national and international investors. He noted that the government is committed to offering a robust policy framework, world-class infrastructure, and investor-friendly incentives to attract both domestic and global players to the sector.
The summit concluded with panel discussions, B2B networking sessions, and exhibitions showcasing Odisha’s handloom heritage and emerging textile capabilities.
