The Odisha government has officially launched the ‘Shishu Vatika’ programme in schools across the State, aiming to provide a structured learning environment for young children starting their education journey.

As part of the New Education Policy 2020, this programme has been tailored to enhance early childhood education across Odisha.

To make school more appealing for newcomers, special programmes like ‘Prabesh Utsav’ and ‘Khadi Chhuan’ were organised on Wednesday. These initiatives aim to create a memorable first day for students and encourage early learning engagement.

Participate To Shape Children’s Future: CM

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, addressing the occasion, urged everyone to participate in shaping a bright future for children. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to providing quality education and ensuring a strong foundation for the next generation.

“We are committed to provide best and quality education to the students of our State. So we have implemented the NEP 2020 and started Shishu Vatika programmes in schools across the State. To encourage students, ‘Prabesh Utsav’ and ‘Khadi Chhuan’ are being organised,” CM Majhi said.

"The Shishu Vatika initiative will play a crucial role in building a modern, self-reliant, and empowered future for our children," the Chief Minister stated. 

The programme is expected to strengthen early childhood education and create a nurturing learning atmosphere in schools across the state.
