Odisha hikes salary of outsourcing employees

In an important decision, the Odisha Government on Thursday announced a 25 percent hike in salaries of outsourcing employees working in various departments through service provider agencies. 

Besides, Rs 1000 will be given to the employees for every completed five-year completed in service. 

Moreover, the Odisha State Outsourcing Employees OMBUDSMAN has been formed to sort out conflicts and complaints between outsourcing staff and service provider agencies. To hear complaints of the outsourcing staff and the service provider agencies, each department will have a nodal officer. 

Moreover, the complaint submission process will be simplified and the complainants can upload their grievances through a software application to be developed by the CMG of the GA&PG Department. 

In another significant decision, women staff can avail of maternity leave of 120 days. 

To streamline all management works, all departments will sign supplementary agreements with service-providing agencies.
